DIY Tuesday: How to iron a dress shirt and Grandma Skirt into a blouse

Understanding how to iron a shirt is not as easy as it may seem from the outset. Ironing methods vary from one item of clothing to the next. This is particularly true in terms of dress shirts. However, with a few simple instructions, ironing a shirt properly will seem as simple as any other everyday task.

Below TM Lewin shows you how to iron a dress shirt.

The next DIY: Grandma skirt into a blouse:

One of my favorite DIY Bloggers Whitney from freshly given created this look with her grandma Skirt. Here how she created the look. You Will Need:
1. Fabric measured 56×34 inches. However, you can judge this based on your size and the length you prefer. This was more than enough for the shirt and strap.)
2. Sewing Machine
3. Scissors
4. Fabric Marker or pencil
5. Something round for the neck-cutout. Check her out here Freshlygiven.com.

Styling Tip: “Can I get the coverage of a one-piece bathing suit and still show a bit of flesh?”

Go for a clever stencil-like effect with a cut-out swimsuit that provides the coverage of a traditional bathing suit but has the holes in unusual places such as the hip, back, or shoulder.

Here are a few looks you can get for your spring/Summer swim.

STYLING TIP: TOP HEAVY FIGURE DO’S AND DON’TS

TOP HEAVY FIGURE DO’S AND DON’TS

DO spend as much time as is necessary finding the right bra or body suit. It can make a world of difference.  Your best buy is a no seam bra that offers a natural-looking profile.

Here are the top three:

From Lane Bryant – Sateen Full-coverage Bra
This bra comes in six colors in sizes 36C – 46DDD.

From Her Room – Le Mystere Renaissance Carina Seamless Bra
This bra comes in five colors in sizes 32B – 44G

From Bigger Bras – Goddess Sport Bra 5056
This bra comes in the silver/white shown in sizes 34C – 48G.

DO go for collarless jackets and avoid patch breast pockets. The less detail on or near your bust, the less attention you’ll attract to it.

DON’T ever forget that a tight sweater is your worst enemy. The next worst is a light top worn over a dark bottom.

DON’T wear wide belts. They’ll make your bosom look even bigger.

here are few dresses you can wear also if you are Top-Heavy

You can embrace your Figure by adding a few of these tips and enjoy what you wear.
