Oh wow!! I feel like a superstar thanks to Virtuous Styles!! I told her a month ago I was looking for sapphire and sequins and then out of nowhere– she appeared with this piece. It was love at first sight! Even though,  I almost chose a different dress for my company’s holiday party. The Styl expert gently coaxed me into choosing this one, and I couldn’t have been happier.

Thank you!!The journey has been difficult, but nothing has been more rewarding. Diabetes almost claimed my life. There is so much about that disease that people need to be aware of. The New World diet (I’ve coined it) is cheap and high in fat, meat, and especially sugar. I was horrified to find kids in middle school purchasing high sugar sodas from the vending machines in their hallways when I went to a parent/teacher conference with a friend of mine. When I was in middle school, we only had water fountains! This little girl purchased one sprite to drink in the hallway and bought another for later. That was more than 100 grams of sugar right there. And she was going to SIT down in class right after. Not go to recess. So the sugar was going to get stored as fat. Fighting for our life begins with knowledge. The food we are consuming is poison!! Artificial colors and flavors in the packaging is toxic to the body and breaks the body down. Diabetes is a sign of defense against breakdown– telling you that something is wrong. I corrected the diabetes and THEN my body became reactive to the other things I did to lose weight, ie. Exercise and supplements. That’s a whole other story I am working on. My journey won’t let me shut up about it, however, I will digress for now…
